Eclectic design is all about bending the rules, and the asymmetrical bed trend is a key example! The basket plate wall that sits over one side of the bed doesn't feel heavy because the opposing side is balanced with a chic oversized wall lamp. The wall lamp adds a sleek touch, while the table lamp on the nightstand opposite contrasts with curves. The asymmetrical look can take some finagling, but it's a fun and fresh way of styling a bedroom!
We wanted this room to feel rustic but also very chic and contemporary. Lighting has the power to create different moods within a space, so instead of table lamps, we used ceiling pendants. Placing one on both sides of the bed with a chandelier in the middle created the perfect combination of sleek industrial and formal rustic.
Balance the color in your rustic space with one of a kind pieces. From the antiqued mirror to the raffia basket wall small details are what adds a personal touch. Classic french bistro chairs are lightweight, practical and easy on the eyes.
