We wanted to make Lorelai’s space feel loud and energetic without the compromise of comfort. The velvet sofa with a deep seat, and rolled arms, makes for the perfect spot to kick back and binge watch old movies and binge takeout from Luke’s diner or Al’s Pancake World. Quirky trinkets are scattered throughout the space, a result of her impulsive habits that lead her to buy whatever she loves in an instant.
Contemporary style has loads of perks. For example, it's clean lines and minimal forms can feel cozy and tidy at the same time. Plus, it's great if you want to add a few flamboyant touches without going overboard. In this space, the Vienna rug, with its old-world ornamentation, elevates the contemporary styling for a look that's approachable and refined.
It's incredible how quickly kid clutter adds up. One second you're looking for a perfectly clean kid's room, and the next feels like a tiny tornado has whirled through the space. So it's a good idea to have smart storage solutions to make cleaning up easy. Here we've added a large square basket for storage and paired it with a reading lamp to serve as a bench for storytime.
This large master bedroom is fitted with a spacious sleeping area and a complete office nook. While it is ideal to have the work area totally separate from the resting space, we have created a soft buffer in the space with the wide bench along with the window that touches into each zone. This helps the space to feel unified, while also creating a subtle border between the two areas.
Your living room mantle is one of the most important parts of your space. It is naturally where most eyes are drawn to immediately as they enter the space. Try layering a propped-up piece of wall art with vases, plants, and candles for an inviting and perfectly styled focal point.
