Make Space to Relax, Or Work

Make Space to Relax, Or Work

One challenge for a mixed-use space is zoning it in a way that allows for separate functions to not interfere with one another. For example, in this room, we needed to have both an office and a living space, but we didn't want to worry about work when watching a movie, or dream of the couch when we were hard at work. To solve this dilemma, we simply placed a shelf, slightly taller than the desk, between the two spaces and VoilĂ , out of sight out of mind.

If you're looking to elevate your space, you might consider incorporating some spindle furniture into the design. The cylindrical legs are very ornamental and will add a sense of refinement to any room. Looking at the leg's pleasing shape makes us see why Sleeping Beauty so easily fell under the spindle's spell.
