Dutch artist Karin Bos brings the rugged topography of Iceland to life in this 29th work in a series of 30 devoted to the island's imposing landscapes. Although rendered with an eye to detail, the works introduce surprising color and shifting perspectives to give each work an otherworldly quality. In Back to Base Camp 29, rising mist and brooding shores add mystery to the gouache and chalk original. Our giclée print of the original gouache and chalk work is reproduced on watercolor paper. Mounted on foam board, the work floats in a maple frame. A graduate of the Amsterdam School of Fine Arts, Karin Bos works as a visual artist in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Outdoor life and nature feature prominently in her work, which was celebrated recently with a career retrospective at the CODA Museum in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. * Artist: Karin Bos * Giclée print on watercolor paper mounted on foam board with a 2" float and acrylic glazing * Maple frame with clear finish * Hang with D rings provided; do not hang with wire
