Open and Closed Storage

This bedroom has a ton of storage for keeping things. The nightstand, media console, as well as the shelf above the bed all have open storage- or storage that allows you to see your things. For example you could put trophies or books on a shelf. The nightstand and media console also have closed storage- or storage where your things are hidden. Most people like to store their clothes this way. It's a good idea to have both types in your room to make sure there's a home for all of your things.
