Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Side

In this design, we painted one of the walls black and added a dark rug on the floor, yet this room does not seem gloomy. The key to this is contrast. We made sure that painting one wall black we would balance out the entryway with a white and black polka dot wallpaper. The acorn wood tones and the greenery also help balance out the room and make it feel more alive.
