Kid's Bedroom Design Ideas

Kids room design may be the most exciting space there is to design. That’s because the options are endless, the style can change with each age group, and much of the design is driven by the individual kid(s) taste and needs! If you’re working on your child’s bedroom, it can be a wonderful experience and opportunity to involve them in some of the design decision making.  When gathering childrens room ideas, the first thing you’ll probably want to consider is what does your child need in their space? If your child is of school age, a place to do homework may be useful, or if they are a bit younger, a place to store toys would be important. Given that kids go through phases of interest, it’s also important to decide if you want a themed space that may possibly need to be changed out in a few years or if you want a more timeless look that can stand the test of time.  A great place to compromise on this front when working on your childrens room design is doing a little bit of both. This can be the most financially feasible option too. For instance painting the walls a neutral base or just doing one accent wall can be a great compromise to painting all walls a bold color. This also allows the decor in the room to stand out. Using furniture that is versatile and can grow with your child is also a great investment when working on your children's room design. There's no right or wrong way of picking furniture, as long as it works for you and your child and purpose of the space.  Letting your child have a say in their room design can be a fun way for them to add their own personality, and take ownership of their space. A few ways to do this would be letting them use their favorite colors, or displaying things that might mean a lot to them, like collections or stuffed animals. If you have a little Picasso on your hands, you could frame their art! There are many ways design a kid's room, and we've compiled a list of kids room design ideas to get creativity flowing and inspire both you and your child!
