Many people think that contemporary design lacks personality veering too far in functionality and forgoing form. But this space, filled with rustic materials, like natural wood finishes and woven textures, and funky sculptural furnishing (that end table looks like it has cute little legs) shows that contemporary design can be whimsical.
Luxury in orange, who knew orange would look so good in a dining room. Big and bold are the keywords for this dining room. Like a popsicle on a warm day, this room is refreshing and bold. Unexpected and daring, and the gold throughout the room brings glam to the space.
This eclectic living room has a distinct air of modernity with some traditional touches. The Crate and Barrel Ryder Sofa exhibits a clean, modern aesthetic; tables with bone inlay induce a relaxed modern look whereas the art and pendant add chic traditional touches to the room. Jewel tones help tie this look together.
Creating a bedroom with splashes of bright color for a masculine design can be done easily through a rug, armchair, pillows, art, and accessories. Keep the furniture minimal for a modern style with pops of orange which mixes well with blue. The multi-color rug adds additional layers of color and helps tie in the artwork which is also multi-colored. The design feels fresh and lively.
The orange velvet accent chair brings a fiery vibrance to this reading nook; the modern chair is paired with an antique brass side table and a soft rug to complete the look. The pop of bright colors on the walls, art, and chair along with flowers gives this eclectic bedroom a lively and lived-in feeling.
We wanted to have a unique room with unusual pieces for this apartment. We chose a serpentine sofa and a pair of barrel chairs that keep the room feeling sinuous instead of boxy and small. Additionally, we added a large console and mirror that bring a modern style to the space!
This trendy, contemporary living room uses metallic pops of brass to create a sense of luxury and refinement! The color theme of burnt sienna complements the brass perfectly. To ground the colors in the design we added in a recurring theme of black and white throw pillows and artwork.
