Adding in pillows with earth-toned colors, texture and pattern create a cozy place to sit back and relax. The reclaimed sideboard adds a hint of mint-colored wood adding to the earthy palette. While the coffee table is more modern and has clean lines the parquet top pairs perfectly with the rustic style.
When designing an entryway, it's important to select furniture that will compliment your space rather than compete with it. For this entryway, the designer chose streamlined mid-century-modern pieces with minimal adornment and don't steal attention away from those stunning shiplap walls. Additionally, the large arched mirror reflects the light coming in from the French doors and fills the space with summertime sunshine!
The a-symmetrical shape of this attic bedroom is a challenge to decorate. Thankfully our Modsy designer new a few clever tricks to make the room appear larger. By using a bed frame with strong vertical lines, the eye is drawn upward, making the ceiling appear higher. The tall standing mirror opposite the bed also adds height to the space.
They say that the family that plays together stays together. With many families preparing for another year of homeschooling due to COVID-19 we'd suggest that the family work well together stay together. We put together this home works space with a dining table as a desk, so everyone in the family can work in tandem.
