Overview

Sarah Atkinson's blurred reflections of city lights on rain-soaked streets evoke the wide-eyed wonder of a young child. Passersby, neon signs and headlights pulse in softened forms that verge on pure abstraction, rendered in a fresh, springtime palette of pastel pinks, greens, blues and grey. Our giclée reproduction on canvas beautifully recreates the look of the original acrylic painting, presented in a crisp floater frame of white-painted pine. Atkinson began painting at a very early age under the tutelage of her father, a practicing artist. She continued her art practice, eventually receiving her fine arts training at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
