Overview

Inspired by Canadian artist David Blackwood's bleak portrayals of Arctic life, artist Edward View "wanted to capture some of the tones and moods of Blackwood's pieces in a simple abstract." The painting spotlights natural movement created by a variety of washes and tilting the canvas from angle to angle to create flowing paint. View also used additives like rock salt, sand and chemicals to create a worn and weathered finish. Edward View.
