Our Monarch dining collection is handcrafted using centuries-old techniques in a modern way. Rare lengths of solid walnut chosen for their beautiful cathedral graining, are united on top with traditional wood-on-wood butterfly joinery without using nails or screws. ^ Oversized rectangular dining table seats up to 10 and is handcrafted using centuries-old techniques that respect the living nature of the wood, allowing it to expand and contract with seasonal changes in humidity. Monarch's unique shiitake finish, a subtle blend of browns and greys, creates a fresh neutral tone that mixes well with other wood finishes. A special water-based topcoat is entertaining-friendly with stain- and heat- resistant qualities.
