Carson Short Stool

Overview

We scaled down our wildly popular Carson Chair to create this stool – a natural wonder that works as a seat or an impromptu side table. The original design was inspired by a gorgeous chair we spotted in a Paris market. Our twist? Turning the leaves of a rush-like plant into strong and slender fiber, deftly combined with strips of natural abaca – some dyed black, some bleached – to create striking texture and pattern. The compact size makes this perfect for smaller spaces.
