Overview

My watercolor painting,Golden Now, is composed of passages of jewel-like, translucent color and form where activity & stillness gracefully coexist and glow. I explore the physicality of paint as relationships between washes of color and forms develop over the surface. I want to show the dance that happens involving intention, control and spontaneity.These compositions show how stillness and activity coexist. They reveal their own truths evoking nostalgia and emotional weight. Through painting, I aspire to illuminate different themes on autonomy, the weight and lightness of being.
