Artisans bathe cotton in natural dyes made from tree leaves, dry it in the sun, and hand paint it with fermented river mud. The geometric motifs are unique to each panel and traditionally coded for small subgroups, but there are a few symbols we can all agree on—a twirl for life and a concentric circle for the world. Each authentic mudcloth is finished with a black cotton velvet back. CB2 pillows include a pillow insert in your choice of feather down or down alternative.
